May 18 - Thomas C. Senter presented at the seminar, “The Employee Benefits Toolbox for the Road to Recovery: Employment Law, Tax and Insurance Perspectives,” hosted by GRSD, The NIA Group and WithumSmith+Brown. The seminar was held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Somerset.

April 30 - J. David Ramsey was honored by the National Community Associations Institute (CAI) for his work as the chair of Government and Public Affairs Committee and awarded the “Outstanding Volunteer Service Award,” at CAI’s Conference awards banquet in Las Vegas, NV.
April 29 - J. David Ramsey and Jennifer A. Loheac participated in the seminar, “Whose Club Is It Anyway? Managing Clubs in Community Associations,” at the National Community Association Institute Conference in Las Vegas, NV.
April 28 - Galit Kierkut and Justin P. Kolbenschlag presented the GRSD webinar, “Avoiding Harassment and Retaliation Claims in the Workplace.”
April 27 - The firm hosted The Fourth Annual Greenbaum Real Estate Conference at the Woodbridge Hilton. Co-Managing Partner W. Raymond Felton opened the Conference and welcomed attendees. Keynote speaker Bob Martin, Commissioner of the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, was introduced by Real Estate Department Co-chair Thomas J. Denitizio, Jr. and the second keynote speaker, Lori Grifa, Acting Commissioner of the NJ Department of Community Affairs, was introduced by partner Andrea J. Sullivan. The first panel, “The State of Development,” was moderated by Real Estate Department Co-chair Meryl A.G. Gonchar and consisted of the following panel members: Michael McGuinness, CEO of NAIOP New Jersey Chapter; Michael Karmatz, Immediate Past President, New Jersey Builders Association; Peter Kasabach, Executive Director, New Jersey Future; Kathleen Miller Prunty, President, Downtown New Jersey; and Carlos Macedo Ridrigues, VP, New Jersey Director, Regional Plan Association. Partner Robert S. Goldsmith, moderated the second panel, “The State of the State,” consisting of panel members Timothy Lizura, Sr. VP of Business Development, NJ Economic Development Authority; Jeffrey Nadell, Sr. Director of Real Estate and Economic Development, NJ Transit; and Michael Francois, Chief of Real Estate Development, Port Authority of NY and NJ.
April 21 - Gary K. Wolinetz and Luke J. Kealy presented the GRSD webinar, “Commercial Landlord/Tenant Issues: Lessons Learned from Litigation.” David Violette, Senior Director of Property Management Operations for Caddisy Turley, served as moderator.
April 14 - 16 - The firm exhibited at the Atlantic Builders Convention in Atlantic City. The Convention is hosted by the New Jersey Builders Association, of which Greenbaum is a Master Sponsor. February 18 - The Greenbaum Women’s Leadership Forum hosted the event, “New Governor, New Rules: New Business?” The guest speaker was Joan Verplanck, president of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Verplanck led a lively discussion of the challenges and opportunities for businesses under the new administration.
February 12 - J. David Ramsey and Jennifer A. Loheac delivered the GRSD webinar, “New FHA Approval Requirements: Learn How Your Community Associations Are Affected.” Also on the panel was Mitchell H. Frumkin, PE, RS, CGP, President and Founder of Kipcon, Inc.
January 22-23 - J. David Ramsey presented "Legislative Update Parts 1 & 2" (an overview of most significant state-by-state legislation for 2009) at the 2010 National CAI Law Seminar in Arizona.
January 21 - J. David Ramsey and Jennifer A. Loheac presented "Taking Away the Right to Rent: Legal Implications and Practical Challenges" at the 2010 National CAI Law Seminar in Arizona.
January 19 - Galit Kierkut and Catherine S. Shimsky presented the webinar, “Social Media Usage in the Workplace: What Every Employer Needs to Know about the Rewards and Risks.” Two insurance executives from NIA Group, William A. Cilente II, Executive Vice President and Kevin McLaughlin, Director, Commercial Insurance presented the part of the seminar on the mitigating risks of social media usage and explained the coverages of specific insurance products in the risk management process.
January 13 - Robert S. Goldsmith participated in the New Jersey Builders Association’s Virtual Green Event and presented the webinar, “Alternative Protocols to LEED for Homebuilders” with Eric Giuliano of Minno and Wasko.
January 12 - Joanne Vos participated in the New Jersey Builders Association’s Virtual Green Event and presented the webinar, “An Overview of Sustainable Jersey and Municipal Certification.” Robert Goldsmith joined her in the presentation.
