John W. Kaveney, a partner in the firm’s Healthcare Department, will be on the faculty for the “2024 Health Law Symposium,” to be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The program will be held at the New Jersey Law Center and will also be available for online viewing.

To keep abreast of the latest developments in the ever-evolving area of health law, this program will feature in-depth discussions on cutting-edge issues relating to case law, regulatory changes, and other topics. Mr. Kaveney will present the segment on “The Evolving Involuntary Commitment Law: Much Has Changed in a Year.” Other segments on the program agenda will address issues related to health equity, recent health law cases, current trends in health care dispute resolution, and an update on recent regulatory developments. 

Mr. Kaveney focuses his practice in the area of healthcare law, representing a range of clients that includes for-profit and non-profit hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, individual physicians and physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, ancillary service providers, medical billing companies, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, behavioral health centers and pharmacies. He is Editor-In-Chief of “Healthcare Perspectives," the firm's blog covering issues of interest to the healthcare industry.
