The firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Practice Group is comprised of a diverse group of attorneys who focus their practices in various areas of litigation, as well as corporate, real estate, construction, environmental, healthcare and family law. They include trial and transactional lawyers, former judges, court appointed mediators, arbitrators and special masters. Our attorneys act as advocates for the firm’s clients in ADR matters, and are also members of the rosters of neutrals for the American Arbitration Association.
The ADR practice area encompasses negotiation, mediation, arbitration and other creative alternatives to formal legal proceedings. The attorneys in our ADR group develop sophisticated strategies for conflict management and resolution by placing an early and comprehensive focus on the business and personal relationships, transaction details, and other relevant factors that have contributed to a dispute. When appropriate and viable, it may be possible to obtain an effective resolution through ADR that upholds the rights of all parties, meets their objectives, preserves relationships, and avoids the time and expense associated with traditional litigation.
The attorneys in the ADR group have experience in multi-party construction and real estate conflicts, complex commercial disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, employment disputes including anti-discrimination and sexual harassment claims, healthcare issues, intellectual property disputes, estate claims, environmental matters and disputes among business owners including post-acquisition disputes and corporate governance conflicts.
