Schiller, partners in the firm’s Litigation and Real Estate Departments respectively, will lead a panel discussion at the Association of Corporate Counsel, New Jersey Chapter’s Annual All-Day CLE Conference on September 18, 2015 from 7:30am – 7:30pm at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany, New Jersey.

The program, “BUDGETOLOGY: THE ‘SCIENCE’ OF DEVELOPING SUCCESSFUL AND COST-EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUTSIDE COUNSEL,” will explore how companies with limited in-house legal capabilities can potentially save money by partnering with outside counsel to handle transactional work and certain types of litigation.  Mr. Barreiro and Mr. Schiller will be joined for this presentation by Kay Klahre Aprea, Esq., Senior Vice President and Regional Fiduciary Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and Vincent J. The panel will address strategies for outside and in-house counsel to work jointly to establish and stay within budget; traditional and alternative fee arrangements; the importance of close communication and information sharing in developing strong and beneficial relationships; how outside counsel can provide non-billable value added services; and other related topics.

Mr. Barreiro focuses his practice in the representation of individuals and businesses in complex commercial litigation, including international litigation, restrictive covenant and unfair competition cases, business disputes and chancery matters.  He has served clients in a variety of industries, including real estate, financial and mortgage lending, transportation, food and beverage, technology, healthcare, legal, accounting and environmental.

Mr. Schiller represents clients in a wide range of commercial real estate transactional and litigation matters. His experience includes the acquisition, disposition, leasing and management of office, retail and industrial properties.
