Steven Nudelman, Chair of the firm’s Construction Contracting & Risk Management Practice Group, will be a speaker for a full day live webinar on “Current Issues for New England Engineers” on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 8:30am – 4:00pm (ET). The program, also available on demand, will be hosted by HalfMoon Education.
Mr. Nudelman will present a segment on “Recognizing Your Rights, Responsibilities and Risks under Contracts” during this program, covering the following issues:
- Reviewing the necessary elements of any contract
- Understanding contract “legalese”
- Determining performance
- What constitutes a breach of contract?
- What are damages and remedies?
- Liability-shifting contract provisions: warranties, guarantees and indemnities
- Making changes to contracts
Other segments of the program will address professional liability, compliance and ethical issues
A partner in the firm’s Litigation and Real Estate Departments, Mr. Nudelman concentrates his practice in construction law. For over 25 years he has represented members of the construction industry across a broad spectrum of matters. On the transactional side, Mr. Nudelman works with owners and developers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals to prepare and negotiate contract documents for construction in the New Jersey and New York metropolitan area. His construction contracting work helps his clients manage the risk inherent in construction projects so they may adequately protect their interests now to avoid claims in the future.
