John J. Reilly, chair of the firm’s Condemnation & Eminent Domain Practice Group, is scheduled to speak at an “Eminent Domain Update” seminar to be presented by CLE International on January 13, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ. Mr. Reilly will be a panelist for a presentation on “Police Power Versus Taking.”
A partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, Mr. Reilly concentrates his practice in condemnation, eminent domain, redevelopment, local property tax appeals and environmental and real estate related litigation. He has counseled and represented clients in numerous jury and non-jury trials, administrative hearings, and appeals. He has briefed and argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court and the state’s Appellate Division, and has briefed before the United States Supreme Court on condemnation issues. Other areas of litigation in which Mr. Reilly has been involved include land use, quiet title, construction, commercial landlord-tenant, consumer fraud and insurance coverage matters. He writes and lectures frequently on legal developments related to condemnation and eminent domain.
