Matthew J. Schiller will participate as a speaker at the 2019 Atlantic Builders Convention, hosted by the New Jersey Builders Association at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. Mr. Schiller will moderate the panel, “Finding Opportunities in Opportunity Zones,” on April 4 beginning at 9:00am.

The Opportunity Zone program under the Tax Cut and Jobs Act presents a significant number of tax and development opportunities for developers throughout the region. As taxpayers seek sites to re-invest their capitals gains under the program, developers can potentially experience an influx of new streams of capital for developments in qualified locations. This seminar will explore the interplay between the Opportunity Zone program and its many tax benefits and investment opportunities and New Jersey's redevelopment, land use and tax laws and provide examples as to how developers can benefit from these federal and state programs and laws.

The firm is also an exhibitor at the Convention and will be located in Booth #618 on the Harrah’s exhibition floor, which will be open on Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm each day.
