Barbara J. Koonz, a partner in the firm’s Environmental Department, will be a panelist for a seminar on “Legal Trends in Environmental Law” at the 2024 Atlantic Builders Convention on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm. This year’s ABC Convention will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.

Ms. Koonz will join a panel of environmental attorneys who will discuss legislation, regulations and court decisions relating to environmental issues that continue to modify the legal framework within which real estate is developed. The panel will examine the most recent significant changes in this area of the law and discuss their implication for the future.

Ms. Koonz focuses her practice in the areas of environmental and energy law, with an emphasis on environmental permitting and compliance, renewable and clean energy projects, coastal and port-area projects, and A-901 licensing. For over 25 years, she has advised domestic and overseas businesses with respect to New Jersey state and federal environmental permitting and regulatory compliance and has served as local counsel to secure all requisite local, state, energy and environmental permitting and approvals for the development and operation of renewable and clean energy projects in New Jersey.
