Nancy Isaacson, a partner in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring practice, will lecture at the 2025 Honorable William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference, which will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 8:00am – 4:00pm at the Palace at Somerset Park. The full-day conference will be hosted by the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey (AFBNJ).
Ms. Isaacson will speak at a morning breakout session entitled “Navigating the New Normal: Today’s Challenges for Consumer Bankruptcy Practitioners.” The panel will dissect recent stay violation litigation relating to online payment access, case conversion pitfalls, the intersection of matrimonial issues with bankruptcy, and courtroom civility. The panel will also take up pre-submitted Town Hall questions relating to consumer bankruptcy practice and legal issues.
Hundreds of bankruptcy practitioners, judges, trustees and staff attend this annual conference, which features educational programs led by New Jersey bankruptcy judges and practitioners addressing the latest practice pointers, policy and rule changes, case law and more.
Ms. Isaacson focuses her practice in bankruptcy and insolvency, with an emphasis on trustee and creditor rights law. She serves as a Chapter 7 trustee for debtors in federal bankruptcy proceedings and has represented appellants in cases before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She has achieved a national profile in her area of practice through her involvement in a number of large bankruptcy matters representing tort claimants and landlords. She is an approved mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey.
