Daniel Flynn, counsel in the firm’s Environmental Department, will be a speaker at a program on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “Proposed RCRA Amendment for Management of Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals.” The program will be sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section, and is scheduled for Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 8:30am – 10:30am at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.
The presentation will review:
- How pharmaceutical wastes are currently handled under RCRA
- The current status of the EPA’s proposal
- How the proposed regulatory amendment would work, including persons affected, innovations, and limitations
Mr. Flynn practice focuses on the environmental aspects of real property and business transactions, site remediation projects, environmental litigation management and avoidance, and compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations. In addition to providing guidance on environmental laws such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), his experience encompasses environmental compliance and risk management associated with workplace safety and product stewardship laws including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), as well as related common law tort principles.
