Steven Nudelman, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, will be on the faculty for the live webinar “Resolving Construction Disputes Through Mediation: A Comprehensive Guide,” to be presented by The Knowledge Group on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm (ET).
One of the commonly used strategies for the settlement of construction disputes is mediation, a type of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) which includes a mediator as a neutral third party to help facilitate settlement. It is a non-binding and flexible method where both parties are given the chance to collaborate and arrive at a desired resolution. However, if not handled properly, mediation could result to risks which may hamper the settlement and aggravate the dispute.
The program will explore a range of issues related to resolving construction disputes through mediation, and will include best mediation strategies to effectively and efficiently overcome a construction dispute. The faculty will discuss the following key provisions:
- Mediating Construction Disputes: A Primer
- Alternative Benefits of Mediation
- Mediation Process and Requirements
- Best Mediation Strategies in Construction Disputes
- 2019 Outlook
Mr. Nudelman concentrates his practice in construction law and the representation of members of the construction industry across a broad spectrum of matters. His clients include owners, contractors, design professionals, subcontractors and suppliers involved in public and private construction projects throughout New Jersey. He also represents community associations, unit owners and developers in lawsuits involving construction defects, budgeting and financing issues, and condominium governance.
