Nancy Isaacson, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, will be a speaker at the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT) Annual Conference, which will be held at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile on August 25-27, 2021.
Ms. Isaacson’s presentation, “Section 1185: Removing a Sub V Debtor in Possession,” is scheduled for Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 9:30 am (ET). The program will provide an overview of reason and process to remove a Sub V Debtor from possession under 11 U.S.C. § 1185, as well as considerations a Sub V trustee in possession must evaluate including operating the Debtor, converting the case to Chapter 7 or seeking dismissal of the case.
As a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Practice Group, Ms. Isaacson focuses her practice in bankruptcy and insolvency, with an emphasis on trustee and creditor rights law. She serves as a Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 11 Subchapter V Trustee for debtors in federal bankruptcy proceedings, and has represented appellants in cases before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She has achieved a national profile in her area of practice through her involvement in a number of large bankruptcy matters representing tort claimants and landlords. She is an approved mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey.
