Jay A. Jaffe will be a seminar participant at this year’s Atlantic Builders Convention. The annual event, hosted by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA), will take place on March 26 & 27, 2014 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The firm is a Master Sponsor of the NJBA and will be an exhibitor at the event.
Mr. Jaffe will be a panelist for the “Site Remediation Regulatory Updates” seminar on March 26, 2014. The seminar will discuss the impact of regulatory requirements and program structure on remediation and Brownfield redevelopment projects. Particular focuses will be on regulatory requirements, the role of DEP’s oversight, upcoming Guidance Documents including the use of Clean Fill, the revised deadline for completing remedial investigations and initiatives to reform the Site Remediation Reform Act.
Mr. Jaffe focuses his practice on the assessment and management of liability under federal and state environmental laws, as well as transaction-triggered regulatory proceedings. He represents developers, property and business owners, landlords and tenants, manufacturers and other clients on a broad range of environmental legal issues. He guides his clients through environmental submissions under New Jersey’s Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) and counsels them on obligations under the state’s new Site Remediation Reform Act and its Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program.
