This year’s virtual event will feature insight from healthcare industry experts on key topics including current events impacting healthcare entities such as the presidential election, competition in the marketplace, private equity, financial and legal considerations, innovative technology advancements, and more. The keynote speakers will be Cathy Bennett, President and CEO of New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) and Nicole Stallings, President and CEO of The Hospital and Health System Association of Pennsylvania (HAP).

Mr. Robertson will serve as the moderator of Session 1: “Healthcare System Update including Mergers, Acquisitions and Affiliations.” Mergers and acquisitions and other business combinations, including consolidations and affiliations, joint ventures, and private equity partners, remain red hot in the healthcare industry. A panel of industry experts will provide an update on FTC actions and issues for large healthcare system acquisitions in the hospital environment from a regulatory perspective, including cross-state merger strategies, the different types of M&A, affiliations, joint ventures, and other strategic alliances and combinations in healthcare today. Panelists will discuss legal and financial factors when considering a potential healthcare transaction, including choice of partner, antitrust enforcement issues, structural and management issues and private equity. This panel will offer valuable healthcare industry insight into M&A, and offer practical considerations, recommendations and best practices.

Other segments on the symposium’s agenda will focus on “Healthcare Focus on Finance” and “Private Equity in Healthcare.” The full program description and registration is available on Withum’s website.
