David A. Roth, a partner and Chair of the Environmental Practice Group at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP’s Woodbridge office, was named Vice Chair, Technology of the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources Environmental Disclosure Committee.
Mr. Roth was a speaker at, “Vapor Intrusion in New Jersey,” on September 20, 2011. The seminar was hosted by the engineering firm O’Brien & Gere. Mr. Roth spoke on the topic of environmental site assessment and vapor encroachment screening.
Mr. Roth focuses his practice on real estate, environmental, and health and safety law with special emphasis on compliance counseling and the environmental aspects of real estate and business transactions. He assists clients in resolving issues arising under solid and hazardous waste laws, the federal Clean Water Act, the New Jersey Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA), the Toxic Substances Control Act, right-to-know programs, the Occupational Safety and Health Act and emerging product safety laws. A substantial part of his practice involves negotiating with and appearing before federal, state and local agencies in connection with enforcement actions, site investigation and clean up cases, permitting, voluntary agreements, and administrative consent orders, and handling administrative and judicial appeals. He also works closely with client EHS and legal departments on auditing, developing environmental management systems, and training with respect to compliance, reporting and disclosure requirements.
Mr. Roth is a Director of the Environmental Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and a member of the Land Use Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He was a presenter at the Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP webinar, “Environmentally Contaminated Property Issues When Owners Face Insolvency,” in February 2011.
He received his B.S. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from University of Maryland School of Law.
