The firm’s Corporate Department recently represented a New Jersey-based client with an extensive automotive industry profile in the multi-million dollar purchase of two automobile franchises and related real property located in Georgia.

Partners Alan E. Davis and Eric H. Melzer counseled the client on its acquisition of a Cadillac franchise, a Mazda franchise and the real estate on which both dealerships are located in a complex transaction involving numerous real estate, environmental, factory approval, zoning, and financing issues. Mr. Davis and Mr. Melzer coordinated their efforts with local counsel to close the transaction, which required extensive negotiations with a seller who operated the business for many years. Thomas J. Denitzio, Jr., co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, provided assistance with the real estate aspects of the transaction.
