Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce that two of the firm’s attorneys have been appointed to new leadership positions in the New Jersey State Bar Association Environmental Law Section.

Monica P. Schroeck, Counsel in the firm’s Environmental Department, is now Vice Chair of the Environmental Law Section, having previously served as Treasurer. David C. Scott, also a member of the Environmental Department, has been elected to the Section’s Board of Directors.

Monica P. SchroeckMs. Schroeck advises both public and private entities on issues associated with real estate and corporate transactions and in environmental litigation. She has extensive experience encompassing a broad range of environmental and land use issues, including those associated with site remediation, environmental due diligence, solid waste disposal, clean air and water regulations, insurance coverage, and environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance.

David C. ScottMr. Scott's practice emphasizes transactions and regulatory compliance, with a primary focus on environmental risks associated with real estate transactions, methods for mitigating those risks, and strategies for addressing environmental issues when they do arise, including the presence of hazardous substances in soil and groundwater, discharges from underground storage tanks, and the cleanup and remediation of contaminated sites.  

In addition to Ms. Schroeck and Mr. Scott, Greenbaum environmental attorney Daniel Flynn also holds a leadership role in the Section as a continuing member of the Board of Directors.

The NJSBA’s Environmental Law Section concentrates on promoting improvement and professionalism in the practice of environmental law, including maintaining communication with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the federal Environmental Protection Agency.
