Daniel M. Serviss, a partner in the Family Law Group at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP, was selected for New Jersey Law Journal’s “40 Under 40” list. The list, compiled annually, highlights the top 40 attorneys of New Jersey under the age of 40. Attorneys are selected for this list because they have developed unique practice niches, demonstrated leadership potential by work in practice groups or committees, and/or a solid record of trial, appellate, or transactional work. Pro bono work and charitable, community and other volunteer activities are also factors.

According to the firm’s co-managing partner Mark Sobel, Mr. Serviss “demonstrates the true essence of a matrimonial lawyer: one who knows when issues should be pursued with zealous advocacy versus those that should be settled in the best interests of his clients and his clients’ families.”

Mr. Serviss’ practice focuses on negotiation and trial practice of matrimonial litigation including divorce, post judgment litigation, civil unions, child custody and visitation disputes, preparation of Property Settlement Agreements and Ante-Nuptial Agreements, and domestic violence matters.

Mr. Serviss is a member of the Family Law Sections of Middlesex County, Essex County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Family Law Executive Committee and the New Jersey Family Lawyer, quarterly periodical addressing family law issues. He was a presenter at the seminar, "What Every Attorney Should Know About Pendente Lite Applications," hosted by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJ ICLE) in August 2010. He also presented a seminar on Domestic Violence for NJ ICLE in April 2009 and for the New Jersey State Bar Association in March 2009. He has also published numerous articles in NJ Family Lawyer magazine.

Mr. Serviss is a graduate of The George Washington University and received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
