On Wednesday, March 4, 2009, the GRSD Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) hosted Dr. Mary Hartman, Director of the Rutgers' Institute for Women's Leadership, for a program entitled “Women and Leadership in the Twenty-first Century: Not Your Mother’s Women’s Movement.” Dr. Hartman, previously the Dean of Douglas College, is an internationally known scholar, author and commentator.   

The event was held at GRSD from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and guests included business leaders and other professionals for Dr. Hartman’s speech and subsequent discussion, networking and dinner. The mission of the Women’s Leadership Forum is to advance women in the firm and throughout the business community at large by helping business leaders grow professionally and sustain business success in positions of leadership. The Forum presents and sponsors a variety of educational, networking and mentoring opportunities consistent with its mission that address topics such as leadership, negotiation and other critical skills.  

Co-chairs of the WLF are attorneys Emily Kaller, a partner in the Litigation Department and Catherine Shimsky, an associate in the Corporate Department. Dr. Hartman was introduced by Meryl Gonchar, a partner in the Real Estate Department.
