James A. RobertsonWe are pleased to announce that our partner James A. Robertson, Chair of the firm’s Healthcare Department, has been recognized by the New Jersey Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) with a Founders Merit Gold Award for 2023/2024. Mr. Robertson received his award at the New Jersey & Metro Philadelphia HFMA 48th Anniversary Annual Institute, which was held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on October 9-11, 2024.

The HFMA Founders Merit Awards, established in 1960, recognize volunteers who contribute their time, ideas and energy to serve the healthcare industry, their profession, and one another through active participation in the organization via professional development, information, networking, and advocacy activities. The awards are part of a merit-rating plan in which specific activities are assigned a range of point values. At present, the HFMA community has over 120,000 members including healthcare finance leaders and professionals from hospitals and health systems, provider organizations, physician practices, business partners and payer markets.

Mr. Robertson has long been a proactive member of the HFMA’s New Jersey chapter, where he currently serves on the Communications Committee and as Editor of its Garden State FOCUS publication. He is the previous recipient of a 2021 Founders Gold Award, a 2014 Founders Silver Award, and a 2011 Founders Bronze Award. His healthcare practice is reflective of his significant expertise across a wide range of legal disciplines, enabling him to effectively counsel clients on a myriad of healthcare regulatory, corporate and litigation matters. He represents a diverse array of healthcare industry clients including for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare and hospital systems, academic medical centers, nursing homes, home health agencies, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, integrated delivery networks, physicians and physician practice groups, and healthcare private equity funds.
