Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce that two of the firm’s attorneys, Mary E. Toscano and Joseph A. Natale, have been selected as 2025 “Leaders in Law” honorees by NJBIZ. An event showcasing the legal professionals who received this year’s recognition is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at The Marigold in Somerset.

According to NJBIZ, the publication’s selections for “Leaders in Law” recognize lawyers and general counsels “whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding.” Following an open nomination period, honorees are chosen by a panel of independent judges with experience in the justice system.

Mary E. ToscanoMary, a partner who chairs the firm’s criminal defense & regulatory compliance practice, is recognized by NJBIZ in the Business: Corporate, Nonprofit, Franchise, M&A, Litigation category. A former federal prosecutor, she now concentrates her practice on white collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations and complex civil litigation, defending clients in criminal investigations, RICO actions, business disputes, and allegations of legal malpractice. A strong advocate for women in the legal profession, Mary is a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association and the Women's White Collar Defense Association, as well as the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey.

Joseph A. NataleJoe, an associate in the firm’s litigation practice, is recognized by NJBIZ in the Rising Stars category, which recognizes lawyers with 7 or less years of legal experience who show potential to become industry leaders. He represents clients in commercial litigation, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract actions, construction disputes, municipal litigation, real estate and land use litigation, employment disputes, and professional liability actions. Joe is one of only 21 attorneys statewide chosen to participate in the New Jersey State Bar Association’s 2024-2025 Leadership Academy as a Fellow. He serves on the Executive Committee of the state Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and as a Trustee of the Morris County Bar Association, where he co-chairs the Construction Law Committee.
